Covid-19 Policy

Norton Plumbing Covid-19 Procedures

Due to the recent pandemic, we have had to change some things about the way we do our jobs out in the field. Unfortunately for everyone, sometimes this can make delays or scheduling conflicts.  The safety of our customers and employees is our highest priority.

-Phone call before work

Before work is done we will need to call the tenant to confirm no-one in the household has symptoms or has been around anyone with a confirmed case of the Coronavirus. We will make several attempts to contact the tenant before we go to the job site. If the tenant is unreachable we will have to reschedule the appointment. On larger Jobsites, we will need daily confirmation noone on site has shown symptoms, or has been around anyone with the virus. We recommend that all foremen or builders do this as well.

-Mask up

Our employees will always wear face coverings on the job site. We will also need anyone on site (above the age of 2) with us to wear face coverings.  We will not be able to go into a household unless the occupants are wearing face coverings, or isolate themselves in a separate portion of the house.

-Distance

We know that some of our customers like to watch us work.  We welcome and encourage that.  We are proud of our work, and don’t mind answering questions or giving advice. We ask that anyone in the vicinity of our workers be masked and maintain a safe distance (greater than 6’).

-Online Billing

In an effort to maintain safe distancing procedures, all jobs will be billed online via an emailed invoice. You are able to pay us electronically, or mail in a check.

-Covid Exposure

We request that any customer who has symptoms or a confirmed case of coronavirus within three weeks of us being in their home contact us. We will keep this information confidential. If any of our customers within a 3 week window start showing symptoms of Coronavirus, or are confirmed to be carrying the Coronavirus, ALL employees will need to be tested and cleared to work before we will accept any jobs, or complete any jobs we are currently working on.  This is the main item that will cause delays in work. We rely on local testing facilities to be available. Sometimes the tests can take several days to complete.

-Confirmed Cases

If any of our employees show symptoms or are confirmed to be a carrier of the coronavirus, ALL employees will need to be tested before accepting any more work, or finishing any jobs we are currently working on. ALL customers that would have had contact with Norton Plumbing over the last 2 weeks will be notified. Employees must be cleared by medical professionals in order to return to work.

These are trying times for everyone. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but we will not make any exceptions to these procedures. We are welcome to any recommendations or advice from our customers to make these procedures more convenient, but will not ever sacrifice safety for convenience.

Thank you for your support and understanding.
